"Type U Steel Spring Nuts Are Ideal As Self-Locking Fasteners To Replace Threaded Nuts In Some Industrial Applications.

Type U Steel Spring Nuts are made of black phosphate spring steel for improved chemical resistance and long lasting durability. Used in place of nuts to thread bolts together and help fasten material substrates. Easily press into self-retaining positions in center-panel locations or over panel edges through rectangular hole. Prevents screws from coming loose due to vibration and lock against mating surface for greater stability. Ideally suited for hard-to-reach or blind installations where threaded nut tightening would not be ideal. Available in a variety of sizes to meet job requirements. Finish is Black Phosphate. Package quantities are 1,000, 2,000, 3,000 and 5,000.
