Bright M3500 Microtomes Are Ideal For High Precision Sectioning Applications.
Bright M3500 Microtomes are manufactured and engineered for long lasting durability and dependability. Incorporate a flat-cutting radial action where the specimen moves along the blade, as well as down on to it, thus producing a slicing cut (similar to a guillotine). This cutting action produces less section compression than other methods. High quality molded materials soften curves and strengthen construction while keeping the overall weight down for portability but heavy enough to remain stable while in use. Controls are positioned so that the microtome can be used either front-on or side-on to the operator. Debris visor, debris blind and trap keep the inner mechanism clean. Deep integral debris tray takes control of waste. Automatic retraction on return stroke. Section counter. Accepts a wide range of knives and disposable blades. Unique lever release disposable blade holder for easy and safe operation. Height adjustable safety guards fit different size knives and blades. 10 position hand wheel lock for safety and convenience. Advance/rewind stepping motor drive. Available with Vice Clamp or Quick Release Cassette Holder.
