Resilient base has isolation or resilient rings between motor mounting hubs and base to absorb vibration and noise.
Totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC) enclosure has no vent openings, and is tightly enclosed to prevent the free exchange of air, but is not airtight. An external fan is an integral part of the motor and provides cooling by blowing air around the outside frame of the motor. Suitable for use where exposed to dirt or dampness, but NOT very moist or hazardous (explosive) locations.
