Chucking Reamers - Spiral Flute, Straight Shank, Metric Sizes for long lasting durability. Spiral flute design provides shearing cutting action suited for materials normally difficult to ream. Round straight shanks may be mounted in chucks, collets or similar tool holders and used with standard portable or stationary machines. Suitable cutting oils or appropriate coolant fluids recommended for most reaming operations. Offers right hand (clockwise rotation) cutting direction. Combination of flute depth and shank diameter helps ensure adequate space for chips and reduce contact area to reduce heat build-up. Pointed with 45° chamfered end forming cutting edges. Overall length, flute length and shank diameter sized proportionally to cutting diameter for maximum rigidity. Easily re-sharpened. Available in a variety of brands and metric sizes from 1.50mm to 9.50mm. Finish is Uncoated. Number of flutes are 4, 6, 8 and 10. Flute lengths and overall lengths vary.
