Threaded Inserts Are Used For Repairing Damaged Threads.
Threaded Inserts are made of carbon steel or stainless steel for long lasting durability and strength. Choose from models with Plain, Zinc Phosphate, Passivated, Black Oxide and Zinc Plate finishes for increased versatility and protection. Re-Nu Thread™ Inserts With Nylon Patch are used in magnesium, aluminum, cast iron, copper, masonite and plastics. Used for load bearing threads in any material and will not back out or vibrate loose. A nylon locking element in the external thread automatically locks the insert in place. Keylocking Re-Nu Thread™ Inserts have a tolerance of +-0.10mm. Inserts with an internal thread size of 5/16 and larger have 4 locking keys. Those with smaller sizes have 2 locking keys. Internal and external thread sizes vary per model.
