Electrode Holders Are Insulated Tongs Used In Industrial Arc Welding Applications.
Electrode Holders protect the welder while allowing him to place electrodes at the point of contact where different pieces of sheet metal or other materials need to be welded together. Electrode holders feature highly insulated handles to prevent injury to the welder as well as super conductive tongs for efficient arc welding and long lasting durability. There are four different brands of electrode holders and associated parts available for purchase: Anchor Brand, Jackson Safety, Lenco and TwecoTong.
Anchor Brand Electrode Holders feature shock-proof vinyl handles and are available for a variety of electrode types. Supported electrodes range from 200 A to 500 A of current.
A model Jackson Safety electrode holders utilize integrated slots for easy angled holding. Integral grooves efficiently dissipate heat, and an extended handle also acts as a cable support system to reduce wear and eliminate play. The large dome screw cable connector creates a nearly unbreakable connection, and copper wrap around the tongs ensures maximum conductivity. They are available for electrodes that range in strength from 300 A to 500 A of current. The J-4 Electrode Holder features a clamp at the end of an angled handle for more precision arc welding processes. Sizes and specs vary per model.
Lenco AF Electrode Holders utilize molded fiberglass tip insulators and high copper alloy tongs for maximal conductivity and insulation. AF model handles contain a durable glass-filled nylon material to resist impact and heat. They utilize an oval-point screw cable connection for increased cable support. Lenco HT Electrode Holders utilize a wider grip for more force and different ergonomics. Lenco Duro Electrode Holders are used for light duty arc welding purposes. They only hold electrodes that sustain a maximum current of 250 A with a capacity of 7/32 in and they feature cable capacity of 1/0 AWG. Lenco Twister Electrode Holders feature a screw ballpoint connection for electrodes. Sizes vary per model.
TwecoTong Electrode Holders feature reversible top and bottom insulators and copper alloy conductive tongs. 6-position jaw patterns provide more efficient arc welding, and fully-insulated springs ensure longevity and durability. Sizes and strengths vary per model. Additionally, Bernard Shortstub Ballpoint Connectors utilize a model "B" large screw ballpoint connection to hold electrodes varying in size from 1/16 to 1/4 in.
