A console server, also known as a terminal server or serial server, gives you access to and control of network devices, including those at remote locations, even across campus, in another city or on the other side of the globe. With an IP console server, you can manage "headless" devices (those without their own display, keyboard or mouse) such as servers, firewalls, IP KVM switches, PBX systems, UPS systems, PDUs, remote power control units, routers, storage systems and switches. Select models include a built-in modem for out-of-band access; 3G cellular access is also supported. 3-port to 48-port models available.
