The Industry’s Most Advanced and Versatile Portable Pump For The Removal of Sludge, Scale and Slurries, Wet or Dry. Aargo Environmental's Universal Mucking Pump is the "heart" of a highly effective material handling system. Its unique design, based on advanced jet pump technology, converts pressure energy into velocity energy that collects and transports materials over long distances through easy to handle 3" (75mm) and 4" (100mm) diameter hose. Having no moving parts, the pump is virtually maintenance-free and its simplicity of operation requires no skilled labor. It replaces costly, time consuming, manual material handling methods that have been the only way to handle many such jobs in the past. One example is Hopper loading. With the cover removed, material is fed directly into the hopper through a stainless steel screen that prevents oversized particles from entering the pump. Sluicing nozzles and cross jets are provided to continually wash material into the main jet stream and prevent "bridging" in the hopper. The Universal Mucking Pump can also be used for Submersible Operations. The motive power is generally pressurized liquid. The pump can be totally submerged, with the cover removed and operated in any position to convey contaminated liquids and slurries from tanks, vessels and other confined areas. The Universal Mucking Pump can also be used for Vacuum cleaning. In this mode, the pump, with the cover in place, can produce up to 26" (650mm) of mercury vacuum. Material can then be vacuumed directly into a Vacuum Collectin Tank. This capability offers the convenience and flexibility of using manageable sized vacuum hose to pick up material from areas normally considered inaccessible. The motive power in this application can be compressed air or pressurized liquid. How it Works: The Motive power, compressed air or pressurized liquid, enters the pump and passes through a power pac nozzle. The nozzle is designed to efficiently convert the pressure energy of the power media into velocity energy. The power media emerges from the nozzle at a very high velocity, creating a suction or vacuum, that causes surrounding material to be drawn into its jet flow stream. The power media and entrained material then enter the power pac mixer where both are combined into a uniform mixture. This mixture enters the pump’s discharge diffuser where pressure energy is regained and providing the most efficient velocity to convey the material through long runs of discharge hose.
