Specific Area Message Encoding (SAME) filters out alerts that only apply to specific locations. Seven NOAA channels can be manually programmed up to 4 locations. Desktop style has backlit display indicates colored alert messages (advisory/yellow, watch/orange, warning/red) in English, French or Spanish. Stores up to 10 alert messages for quick referral. Safe and Sound style includes siren and voice alerts as well as an LED indicator for advisories and warnings.
