JET® Bench Lathes come in a wide variety of styles for increased versatility. JET® Belt Dr Bench Lathe With Collet And Taper has an enclosed gearbox design that provides smooth, quiet operation. The spindle is supported by precision tapered roller bearings and the V-way bed is induction hardened and ground. Tailstock may be offset for turning tapers and include an inch/metric graduated quill. Automatic feeding and threading are fully interlocked and the lathe uses low voltage motor controls. Includes 6" 3-jaw direct mount scroll chucks with top reversing jaws, 8" 4-jaw independent chucks and a 12" faceplate. A bench lathe with collet closer is also available. JET® Lathe With Collet Closer and Tak has a similar design, except that it also includes a micro-carriage bed stop, a foot brake, a halogen work lamp, a coolant system with a splash guard and a front removable chip tray. The headstock is constantly oiled during operation and adjustable gibs are incorporated in the carriage and sideways. JET® Dro and Taper Attachment has a D1-4 spindle that is precision ground for accuracy and supported by high quality tapered roller bearings. JET® Large Spindle Bore Lathe With Tak-ZX And Newell Dro is available in 16", 18" and 22" and is ISO 9001 certified. A 3/18" bore spindle is supported by two tapered and one ball bearing. Chrome molybdenum headstock gears are hardened, ground and shaved, and the universal gearbox allows inch, metric, diametral and module pitch threads with no change gears required. The five position automatic carriage increases productivity and chrome levers, dials and knobs provide an attractive quality. High quality ANSI Class 50 wear-resistant cast iron bed ways are hardened and ground. Includes footbrake, halogen lamp, 10" 3-jaw scroll chuck with top reversing jaws, 12" 4-jaw independent chucks, 12" faceplate and 16" faceplate. JET® Taper Attachment Kits are specially designed for each of the ZX Lathe models. They mount to predrilled and tapped holes and have a 10° inclusive cutting capacity. Factory installation is available.
