You must be registered user with an existing account in order to log on.  If you have not registered and opened an account with us, see Registering to Open an Account for information on setting up your GlobalIndustrial.com account.

Your individual username identifies you as a GlobalIndustrial.com user.  Whether you are logging on as an individual, small business or corporate account, you use your individual username and password.  When you have completed your order and you are finished shopping, we recommend that you log off for security purposes.

• Logging On Before Checkout:

  1. Click on Log On on the menu across the top of any page. The Log On page opens.

  2. Enter your username.

  3. Enter your password. Your password will be encrypted as you enter it into the password field. If you forgot your password, see below.

  4. Click on the Logon button. The Global Home Page returns with your first and last name at the top of the page and the menu option changed to Log Off.  You are ready to continue shopping.

• Logging On During Checkout:

  1. Click the Save Cart or the Continue to Checkout button from the Shopping Cart Details page. If you are not already logged on, the Log On page opens.

  2. Enter your username.

  3. Enter your password. Your password will be encrypted as you enter it into the password field.

  4. Click on the Logon button. The Checkout page opens with your name at the top of the page and the menu option changed to Log Off. Continue checking out.

• If You Forget Your Password:

1. If you know your username, enter it and click on the Need a Password Hint? link. The Need a Hint page opens. Type in the answer to your secret question and click the button. If the answer is correct, the system displays your password and a Continue To Log On link. Click on it to log on.

2. If you do not remember your username, password, and/or the answer to your secret question, click on the Forgot Your Username/Password? Click Here link.  For your security, we will ask you to enter the email address that you entered when you registered and use your answer to verify your identity before we send you your username and password to that e-mail address.

• If You Encounter a Logon Error:

1. Follow the instructions on the Log On page to correct the error, and then click the Logon button.

1. Click on Log Off on the menu across the top of any page. Your name disappears from the top of the screen.  
   Note: If you have unsaved items in your shopping cart, the system will prompt you to save them before you log out.

When you register and enter your username and password, you are given the option of entering a question and answer combination for security purposes.  If you forget your password, for example, we will ask you for the answer to your question to verify your identity before we e-mail you your password.
