T12 to T8 slimline upgrade.

Your review: I upgraded 5 f96 t12 fixtures in my garage to T8 using sylvania ballasts and 59 watt flourescent lamps. My old fixtures are about 30 years old. I was replacing lamps about every 2 years. Old ballasts were inductive. Lamps got very dim below 30 degrees. In Summer during very hot weather, ballasts ran hot and sometimes shut off. Ballast installation is very easy, just follow wiring diagram. Be careful installing the lamps as they are fragile. Brightness is great and saves electricity by 30%. Lamps fired at 15 below 0.
