Good for the price...sometimes

I purchased the 8" and 12" blowers to aid in confined space ventilation. Pros: Price, Seem to be well built Cons: Can't use extension cord, Seem underpowered The fans have a warning that reads "do not use with extension cord". In the field I can hardly imagine many scenarios where you wouldn need an extension cord. In our case we had to plug the blower into a welding machine. But in a confined space situation having engine exhaust nearby is problematic. Besides the cord issue even the 12" blower didn't really seem to move that much air. These things are not bad for the money, provided that you have an outlet with in 6'.

Good quality

Your review: Product seems to be good quality but needs a better method of attaching the vent tube,it seems to be lacking the clips that hold the vent tube on also tends to vibrate louder then expected. I might be putting bigger rubber garments on the bottom .

The Little Fan That Could

Your review: For a fan with only 8" blades, it sure can push a lot of air.

Pros: Construction quality is tops. Very heavy, made of steel.

Cons: With the 8" duct attached, I'll bet the cfm drops a fair amount due to drag. At least it seems so.

It works

Your review: I was expecting something more judging by the pictures. It definitely moves air, but it also has a good deal of rejection. Meaning that some of the air comes out of the intake. If you were using this for a paint booth, I would imagine you wouldn't want any positive air movement in the booth. The switch is a little flimsy too, and awkwardly placed. You can't use the handle without touching it. Moves a good deal of air. Price point is decent considering that it comes with 16 ft of pipe. The pipe materials seem durable.

Pros: Moves a good deal of air. Price point is decent considering that it comes with 16 ft of pipe. The pipe materials seem durable.

Cons: Switch location and durability are less than desirable. The fan rejects some air out of the intake end of the fan which can stir dust behind the fan.

Works so far...

Your review: Purchased this fan/ducting ~3wks ago after the recent flooding in CO. Crawlspace flooded. After removing the standing water and water logged insulation, fan was placed in crawlspace with ducting leading outside. Attached ducting to 8" metal ducting to 90 up 5' and then 90 away from house. Added outlet next to light so extension cord was not needed. Has been running continuously for 3 weeks with no problems. Not too loud. Can barely hear it in living space. Could get annoying if using in close quarters. Housing is metal, not plastic. Ducting seems like it should last if cleaned and taken care of. Smaller than thought, but seems to be doing the job. Not sure if air flow ratings are based on no duct?
