Your review: If you need a fan to REALLY move some air, industrial quality, solid and well built look no further. I bought this to replace a a $60 floor fan from Lowes to keep our German Shepherd cool. The cheaper fan had an open motor about the size of a peanut can and after one season became so clogged with dog hair and dust it wouldn't turn after soaking with PB blaster. I mounted this one under our carport and it cools her through a chainlink gate about 15 feet away. It MOVES SOME AIR! I can replace this motor if I ever need to, for $85 dollars! But I don't think I will ever have too. It's well covered. I would highly recommend it for a shop or horse barn type condition. It is noisy, strictly from the amount of air it moves, but if air movement is your main concern this bad boy will do it! Well worth the price! DO NOT try to shortcut on the mounting! It's heavy, it has massive torque, and it needs to be securely mounted to secure studs or rafters! EXTREMELY happy with it.
Pros: MOVES some air! Heavy duty construction, sealed bearings, oscillates.
Cons: It is noisy. I really don't think that's a "con" because anything moving this much air will be. Not from the motor, but from the air velocity. It's heavy, but it's heavy duty! Which is ok by me. You can't expect to get this kind of result from a twerpy, big box store fan.
