Price was good - construction is good
Your review: Working well, sensitivity is not the best temp range for on/off is between 2 to 4 degrees, but its doing the job
Pros: Price was good - construction is good
Cons: Wiring diagram was really POOR- and also operations are reversed of the drawings- once I figured it out it- all is fine
Great choice for our use
Your review: Great choice for a thermostat. No electronic stuff to mess up and no batteries needed...old school is sometimes the best.
Pros: No batteries Ease of installation
Cons: not exactly "pretty" but it is very functional. It controls the attic/exhaust fan in our house and could care less what it looks like as it's in the attic.
Mechanical Thermostat Review
Your review: I was very impressed with the quality and price of the Vostermans Mechanical Thermostat, Model TT15WDCAM1A. For the do-it-yourself homeowner like myself, I did find the installation instructions hard to follow because the wiring diagram was not clear as to how to connect the fan to the thermostat. I called Global and in turn was contacted by a Vosterman technician who set me straight on the connections. I would recommend that the instructions be re-written to make installation connections clear for those who are not electricians by trade or experience. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase and the thermostat works like a charm so far.
Vostermans Mechanical Thermostat TT15WDCAM1A
Your review: I just finished installing an exhaust fan in my garage to keep it from heating up on very hot days (sometimes over 115 degrees). I installed the subject thermostat to the fan so it would start exhausting at a much lower temp. The thermostat works perfectly, and I'm delighted with it. I was not, however, happy with the installation instructions that came with the thermostat, nor the instructions which I downloaded from your website. Neither of them was properly labeled to be able to easily identify the hot black wire and the white neutral wire. The instructions from your website were the best, but could have been much better if the wire going from the "2" to the what looks like a battery (which I later learned from Steve in response to my emailed question, was supposed to be an icon for one of your fans) was labeled as black, and if the fan icon was also labeled so that you can tell it does not represent a battery.
Your review: I have this T-Stat connected in series with an on-off switch, and a 16" attic fan. I checked the set point vs. actual temp. and it was "right on".....
It's been hot here the past couple weeks, and the T-stat/fan are doing there jobs...no problem
What the operating differential temperatures? In other words if the stat is set for 70 at what rising temp would the fan shut down. And at what lowering temperature would the fan start again?

Hi, I ordered this thermostat to control the 12" direct wire shutter fan that I purchased earlier. There are no instructions as far as wiring schematics. Are they available?

There should be wiring instruction with the unit. However, attached is the additional information In case the instructions are not there.
So will this product allow automated control of a variable speed fan? (Fan should come on at low speed at a set temp and then speed up as /if temp rises further)
