what is the minimum generator watt output needed to start and run this, I have a generac ix800 that claims to output 800 watts which should be more than enough if this specs are 2.8 amps and 120 volts the watts should be 336, but the ix800 is not enough to run this, it overloads.

The stated amperage is 2.8 amps, which is the rated running amperage. When an electrical motor starts up there is a large amperage draw associated with the initial spinning of the motor. Once the motor has begun spinning then the amperage draw reduces to the rated running amperage listed on the product. Other variables that need to be considered are cord wire gauge size and cord length.
We would like to know what kind of fuel this heater will use straight out of the box. Is it already set up to use these fuels?
