TPI Fan Forced Portable Heater HF686TC

Your review: TPI fan forced portable heater HF686TC-5600/4200W 240/208V1 PH After installing a seperate circut that in my case took about 2 1/2 hours, I would recomend this heater. It takes the chill out of my 24'x24' garage in about 15 min. My garage never really gets below 40 no matter what it's like outside at least not so far this year. It warms up to about 65 in about 1hr. then starts to cycle and keeps the temp pretty steady I think it's a great heater.

We unpacked the heater and plugged it in - doesn't seem to be putting out much heat and only a portion of the coils are turning red. Do we need to leave it plugged in for an extended time the first time we use it or are we missing something?
