You get what you pay for
Your review: About what I expected, functional but not the greatest. Easy to put together but not as rigid torsionally as I had hoped due the very thin gauge metal used. The cardboard inserts are adequate but you have to be VERY careful when assembling that you don't bend them and thus compromise their strength. Each slot can hold up to a ream of paper, but I doubt the rack could support the weight if every slot was full to capacity. If you happen to get a bend in the cardboard, the slot will sag from the weight.
If you are looking for a durable and sturdy rack that gets a lot of use, I would spend the extra money and get something with wood sides and fiberboard inserts
