Fantech Energy Recovery Ventilator FIT 120E 170 Watts 106 CFM Fantech's low profile ERV is ideally suited for condos and apartments that have no mechanical room and where it must be located over a Basement / False ceiling. The Fit 120E brings a continuous supply of fresh air into a home while exhausting an equal amount of contaminated air. During winter, fresh incoming air is tempered by the heat that is transferred from the outgoing air so you save on energy costs, while during summer, the incoming air is pre-cooled if the house is equipped with an air cooling system. The Fit 120E is equipped with automatic defrost mechanisms so you can use your ERV all year round. A preset frost control sequence shall be activated at an outdoor air temperature of 23&#176;F (-5&#176;F) and lower. During the defrost sequence, the supply fan shuts down and the exhaust fan switches into high speed to maximize the effectiveness of the defrost strategy. The unit then returns to normal operations, and continues the cycle. Core, filters, motor and electrical panel can be accessed easily from the access panel. Core conveniently slides out with only 7" (176 mm) clearance. Made with 24-Gauge Galvanized Steel. This models has a 7 year limited warranty on the motor, 5 years on electrical components and a lifetime limited warranty for the core. The "Core" refers to the internal component which is the removable core of the HRV / ERV performance. (HRV's use an aluminum core that transfers heat from the exhaust airstream to the incoming airstream and ERV's use a different core that transfers heat and moisture from the incoming air to the outgoing air.)
