Product is unsafe
Product hose kinks, dispenses very slowly and is unsafe to use since the handle must be tied to the open position in order to work for the nearly 1/2 hour it takes to fill the tank on my jet ski

14 Gallon Gas Caddy & Fuel Tank
I live in the Northwest where power loss is common. I bought this caddy to service my household emergency generator. It is easy to fill as it lays flat and the wheels and handle help with the transport home. I will use it to refill my smaller "generator only can". My order was processed and delivered lighting fast. Thank you so much for the fine product and your exceptional service. Five stars indeed!!!

Everything I expected
This item arrived sooner than I expected and I was please to notice that the manufacturer had changed the hose from plastic to rubber. That was the reason I had to buy an new gas caddy. The hose on my previous one collapsed and I could not find a replacement.

Great Product
I found the caddy and fuel tank easy to fill and use and well designed. The only improvement I recommend are caps to seal out dirt when the hose is removed for long term storage on the tank and at the hose and nozzle ends.

poor design
I bought this last year to fill my boat and it looked really promising. However after only a couple of times used the wheels no longer turn so I have to drag it over the ground. I was filling my boat this past weekend and the plastic nozzle broke off the suction pump handle and fell into my gas tank. I will now have to take the tank apart and fish the plastic out. What a pain in the neck. I do not recommend this product.

Worth it, for me...
I've used the product about ten times now and am really pleased with it (you just have to figure out the quirks...). I use this product for our boat that sits in the water; the boat's gas fill is right at dock level (which is important for flowrate). Flowrate is adequate (~10 minutes for the whole 14 gallons), you just have to be sure the vent is fully open and the gas caddy is higher than what you are filling. I haven't tested the pump nozzle for say, filling a car (but you'd probably get some bulging forearms!!). Design is nice, and functional. Be careful in hot weather; it might balloon up like any other poly tank...

frustrated with this Caddy
| While it looked like a great solution at first, as it turns out once I used this product for the first time, the frustrations only started. First realization was that the pump is way too slow and you have to continuously pump by squeezing the handle while you hold the handle lock (very uncomfortable and tiring). So it takes forever to get the contents to the destination. After the first time filled and used the wheels got stuck and would not rotate anymore. That meant having to carry or drag the Caddy all the way around. It seems like the axle was not designed for the weight of the content to be handled and was bent by the weight.
I don't feel like using this Caddy any more. I would really want to get my money back. It's not worth the aggravation. I thought I would save money and time by not having to fill up at the marina, but this made it worse and now I prefer to got to the marina.
Sorry - But I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone!

Poor design, not very "User Friendly"
After using this caddy for a couple of weeks, it is very flimsy. I am sceptical about how long the weels will hold up. There is no nozzle holder so when you roll the unit around the nozzle winds up dragging on the ground. Squeezing the lever repeatedly to pump the gas out of the caddy is very slow and painful! I still think the idea is great but for the $100 I paid, I expected more than this thin walled tank with a hand-squeeze siphon hose.

I regret purchasing this product.
I am extremely dissatisfied with the purchase of this gas tank. I was so excited to get it that I ran right out and filled it with gas. The excitement ended when the pump handle did not work. There's not enough siphon power to pull the gas through the hose. I'm having a yard sale next month and I'll try to sell it for $5. I'm usually very happy with Global products but not this time. This is a dud.

Works fairly well, well built, easy to manuever
| We live several hundred yards from the lake and this caddy makes it much easier to refuel the boat.
It is very easy to fill because it sits flat in the bed of my truck, and is easy to roll down to the dock on the plastic wheels.
The reason I gave it three stars is because it takes a long, long time to pump the 14 gals into your boat. Not sure why its so slow, but the flow rate could definitely be improved to make it more useable. Related to that, it would be helpful to see how much is left in the caddy when your are pumping. Of course, if it pumped out quicker then it would not be so much of an issue.
Despite the above, it still a good caddy to have handy for refueling. |
