As good as all of the reviews
I read all reviews before I purchase. They were all good on this product and I agree. If this is what you are looking for, it works. You can't find anything like it in a builders store or a hardware.

No more spilled children
I have a fairly old kitchen set with six upholstered chairs. Originally the four legged chairs were on casters and were always a hazard. Just like computer and office roll-about chairs, which were redesigned to have five castered legs for improved safety, these chairs were always dumping children head first on the floor. Replacing the casters with these glides affords me peace of mind that chairs will remain upright.

Type E Chair Glides
We love our kitchen table and chairs. Howevr, thhe chairs all had non-locking casters which becameoutright dangerous after my husband was injured and his dimished strength made getting them out of them an accident waiting to happen. Could we replace the casters on one chair for just him? We found your website, the proper size chair glides and replaced the casters. This has been salvation. Rather than having to replace our entire kitchen set, we replaced cansters on one chair. Super!

Exactly what I needed
I bought a drafting chair to use in the garage on a cement floor, but the wheels were almost uncontrollable. These glides were exactly what I needed to use the chair without sliding all over. These glides provide stability as well as being easy to move the chair when needed.

chair leg caps
An answer to our prayers to 4 wheeled customer chairs with no arms. These chairs could be a hazard as these have no arms for one to steady themselves to rise out of the chair. On a tile or low pile carpet floor could pose a real problem. This was EXTREMELY cost effective and fit into the chair legs perfectly. Using them in the back legs, our problem solved!

They did the job.
When we tiled our lanai we discovered that, since the floor was at a slight slant for draiage, our lanai chairs kept rolling toward the outer wall. We replaced the casters with the chair glides and our "amusement ride" is over. The chairs stay put. Mission acomplished!

Great product. Great price
These are just the right size to allow me to put the office chair I use them on in one place without slipping. They are just the right size to allow the chair to sit firm and level on the floor and not interfere with the center post.

Stool & Chair Glides
I bought these chair glides to replace the wheels on my dining room chairs. We put hardwood flooring in our house and did not want to hurt the floor with the wheels. These work PERFECT!!! (I also put felt pads on the bottom of the glides.) I highly recommend these to anyone who wants to protect their floors.

| The glides were very easy to install and fit perfectly. They have given the castered chair alot more stability for my 96 year old father. They do not glide on our vinyl floor as well as I would hope. VEry good product overall.

These Glides made my purchase SMOOTH!
When I decided on the Synchro Leather Task Stools for our Make-up and Wig Shop, my only concern was the casters they came with. The one thing I don't want is a performer rolling away while I put make-up on them. But with these Glides, I could make the chairs stationary and not lose height. They were easy to install, and make the chairs easy to move -when I want them to move -not before!

| Model/Stock # 506818
I purchased thee stool glides for replacing castors on my desk chair. When installed it lowers the chair so that the center column of the chair drags the carpet. For this purpose the dimension from the floor to the base of the stem should be at least 2 1/8".
I know the glide was not designed for this purpose but it would be very useful for use on swivel chairs on carpeting instead of castors which sink into the carpet and do not roll very well.
I have had to place standard 2" furniture glides under the nylon glides and a 3" furniture glide under the center column of the chair to help the situation. This helps but extra height would be much better.
I have not found a guide designed to replace castors on carpeting but this item does help. |
