Solkid Product, Complex to Assemble
Your review: This is a solid product, consistent with Rubbermaid's usual standard of quality (which I find to be very good, given that their business is low-cost plastic-ware). As other reviewers have commented in other fora, this box has a lot of pieces that the consumer must assemble. The pictographic assembly instructions are very good but not perfect. Some reviewers have complained of missing pieces; mine came with all pieces plus one extra steel reinforcing bar for which I could find no place nor mention in the instructions. The box happens to be a perfect size for me, being the smallest box that will hold all of our cushions. The inside dimensions quoted by Global Industrial are accurate (41"Lx24-1/2"Wx21"H). We have not yet had severe weather to test whether the lid keeps out driving rain; The overlap of lid to box is fair but not great, so I will be interested to see if box keeps cushions dry; other reviewers have said that it does.
Pros: - Sturdy construction - Gas-lift struts for lid - Global Industrial's quoted Inside dimensions accurate
Cons: - A lot of parts to assemble - Assembly requires enough familiarity with tools for consumer to be comfortable screwing in 60 or 60 screws and a couple of nylon-locking hex nuts with flat washers - lid struts don't have quite the clearance they should, so assembler must force them a bit
