Linear bearing shim stock is used to create a precise fit. Each shim is .005" (.127mm) thick and has a slotted design that enables easy installation without having to dismantle the bearing; simply loosen the bearing pad and slide the shim(s) between the pad and housing while the bearing is still in place. Shims are sold in packs of 10 and are compatible with all 80/20® bearings.

Laminated Aluminum Shim is made from an 1100 Series Aluminum. Composition 1, Type 1, Class 1. Fully laminated. Peel off layers to needed thickness. Allows more on-site accuracy. Precision Brand® Laminated Shim is made by using pressure and resin/adhesive to bond metal shim together which creates a rigid "one piece" item that appears to function as a single solid metal sheet or plate.
