Great for the price. Need to pay close attention while putting tape down to keep a straight line going, tape will wander easily if you're not steady, but for the money it is a good option. Would not reccomend if you are trying to lay masking tape down for precision line painting such as a gym floor/court layouts, but good for warehouse and parking area zone markings. -

Solid little device for putting down floor tape. Because it is built to accept tape styles up to 4-1/2", there is quite a bit of play in the dispenser section. For tapes with smaller widths (2", for example) you may want to add tape to the smaller side rollers, in order to keep the tape roll centered. -

Are spare parts available for this roller? We've had rollers in the past, but the adapters that hold the tape are lost. Looking at alternatives, and this roller is priced right if we can get replacement parts.

Would this work for applying painter's tape, do you think? Or would that tape be too thin for the pressure of the applicator.

Hello, it would not be recommended using this for painters tape. Painters tape should be applied by hand so that it can be carefully placed where necessary. Thank you for your question.
