If the receptacle is supposed to be a GFCI but not, or if test button is pressed while testing a regular receptacle, will the tester be harmed or will it just trip the panel circuit breaker, or no effect? Is the tester protected against this??

If there is a problem, does the red light come on or flash, I put in the receptacle and the 2 yellows come on but the red doesn't light, not sure if this is what it intended to do?
