General Pipe Cleaners 2" Float Model Flood Guard
Flood-Guard operates like a check valve to seal off water back-up caused by overloaded sewers. Water flows normally through the drain until the sewer begins to backup. Then the Flood-Guard float rises to seal off the drain opening until the water recedes. A screwdriver and a couple of minutes are all you need to install a Flood-Guard. Once in place, it can prevent property damage and a very messy clean-up job. Gaskets are made of molded rubber, and all metal parts are plated or stainless steel. Fits 2" pipe.

Irritating. There's only a couple of kinds of these made - and this one is made by General. As usual, the designer has never installed one. When I buy these, the 1st thing I do is replace the screws w/ allen-head cap screws. Because working down in a floor drain - any pressure and the screws strip or your screwdriver slips. All mfgrs are like that. only reason this one is best available is because the rubber is soft and squishes easier than others. Field experience trumps college every time! -
