General Pipe Cleaners 3" Float Model Flood Guard
Flood-Guard operates like a check valve to seal off water back-up caused by overloaded sewers. Water flows normally through the drain until the sewer begins to backup. Then the Flood-Guard float rises to seal off the drain opening until the water recedes. A screwdriver and a couple of minutes are all you need to install a Flood-Guard. Once in place, it can prevent property damage and a very messy clean-up job. Gaskets are made of molded rubber, and all metal parts are plated or stainless steel.

Used this on only one of my three drains that was backflowing when it rained hard. When the Flood Guard worked, the other two back flowed. Now I have it installed on all three drains. no more backflow on any. -

The design of this device is very simple yet should be very good in performing its intended function of preventing backflow through drains. -

Works great, except that allen or hex head bolts might be easier to tighten. It takes quite a bit of downward pressure to keep a screw driver blade in the slot while you are trying to keep the entire unit from going down the drain. -
