Portable AC/Heater

Your review: Just received the A/C unit and have it set up in my garage. Workd just ike they said it would! Cools garage from 90 degrees to 76 degrees with no problem. Very happy with unit.

Cons: Extension tube was to be 6 feet totally extended. Mine is only 4 feet 9 inches! BUT I made it work. This is why I gave it 4 stars.

Portable air cond w/heat 14000 BTU

Your review: Works really well and removes a lot of moisture from the air. Smaller than my old 16000 unit but seems to be more efficient.

Pros: Cools very fast, is very efficient a t removing moisture. Not tried the heat.

Cons: I tried to find out if the water would be removed by the heat duct to outside like my old unit. It has a drain hose which I was emptying a bucket 2 times a day. I wanted to get a longer hose but found out by trial and error it is a metric hose. You cant buy a metric hose unless you are going for hundreds of feet. If they had made the hose connection stick out beyond the unit you could use a 5/8" id hose and put a clamp on it. The only drawback. I worked it out using a length of the original hose a piece of metal tubing and the 5/8" diameter hose and ran it thru the wall to eliminate emptying buckets. This is in my sunroom so there is no basement to drain into like it is indicated. I did raise it up on plastic furniture blocks so I could check the tank for any water without moving it. Note I have no window all are casement so I exhaust heat and water thru the wall with a dryer flap to open and close.

Portable AC

Your review: Overall the unit works great, it started cooling immediately. The exhaust duct needs some design changes though. The duct is not long enough and will not stay connected to the fittings.

Pros: Cools great.

Cons: Exhaust duct does not stay attached.

Portable Air Conditioner.

Your review: We had previously purchased an air conditioner, like, this one, from Global Industrial before. Since we were rolling the air conditioner from the living room area to the bedroom every night and back in the morning we decided to look for another. We checked a number of stores and internet sites but could find nothing that could match the one we had for the price we paid. This machine has cooling, heating, dehumidifying. It even has a "follow me" feature which makes it use the remote control as it's temperature control. So we just ordered another from Global. Easy ordering, fast shipping and we are 100% satisfied. Thank you Global Industries....

Pros: Easy purchasing, easy to connect to a window for venting with complete kit included. The kit even fits our large sliding window. Easy to move from place with it's coaster wheels.

Cons: It has many features, some you may not understand until you've used them. For example, you can put the machine in "automatic" which works very nice. We set the temperature and the cooling worked well, the temperature started rising rather fast and we discovered the the heater came on because it was cooler than the temperature setting, I guess it should do that. Since that was not what we wanted we realized we had to set it on "cool" rather than automatic. Just a matter of experience with the unit.

Portable AC indoor unit

Your review: Easy enough to assemble, little louder than expected. Takes a long time to cool room in a/c mode even though my room is smaller than 500 sq feet. Cools room much quicker if you use dehumidifier setting.

Pros: Dehumidifier works really well but be sure you have a big enough container to catch all the water.

Cons: Little louder than described, A/C not as good as expected since my room is smaller than 500 Sq. Ft. Takes a long time to cool the room.

Cooling maintenance

Your review: This unit is located in the maintenance building which is a conex box and is very hot in the summer. It is definitely not cold due to the building makeup but does cool down the area. Winter time it does warm up the area.

Pros: Small enough to not be in the way and is quiet.

Constant Temp?

Your review: Maybe I haven't figured it out. When in automatic when ambient temps changes from warm to cool the unit doesn't change to heat. Cool just shuts down waiting for warmth!

Pros: It warms and cools very well. Easy to set up and take up very little space!

Cons: Poor directions on how to use under different circumstances.

14K BTU Portable A/C

Your review: The A/C was delivered in a timely manner. During setup we noticed the air outlet adaptor was missing. Called Customer Service and they were very helpful. The unit has many neat features and does the intended job nicely.

Great!!

Your review: Bought two machines in August when two other portable AC units I had for years broke. What a difference!!! This machine delivers!!..what a difference!..will be counting on the heating portion this winter so I'm hoping that rates 5 stars too!

Pros: This machine is much more powerful and quiet than the other brands that I have had. Very Pleased

Cons: The only con is the window piece was too long and I had to take it somewhere to have it cut....no biggy tho. I went to Aluminum Siding company and they cut it for me.

Cooling well

Your review: We have a conex without insulated walls. In the summer heat the temp can get as high as 120 degrees in the conex. We use this conex as a maintenance building but the heat is unbearable. This unit allows our employees to be able to work on equipment without overheating themselves quickly.

Pros: Drops temp in room at least 10 to 20 degrees.
