Set Screws

Socket set screws with safety twist feature is designed so the serrated flat faced ball cannot twist more than a maximum of 9 degrees. This allows full clamping of the serrated flat faced ball at all times. Allen/Hex Keys are used to drive the screw.

1/4-20x3/8 Coarse Thread Socket Set Screw Flat Point Plain Imported. Flat head screws are used when protrusion of the fastener above the mating surface is unacceptable. Allen/Hex Keys are used to drive the screw.

Point Selection should take into account application, holding power, frequency of setting and hardness of mating parts. The Cup Point digs into the contact surface for maximum holding power under pressure. The Knurled Point features better locking power than the standard Cup Point. The Knurled Point combines the digging action of the Cup Point with counter-clockwise locking knurls that have a ratchet-locking action that helps resist loosening, even under the most severe vibrations
