Safety Edge Workbench
Global workbenches are built to withstand years of heavy-duty use. Ergonomically designed Safety Edge rolled front has no hard edge to damage parts or dig in when you lean against the bench. Maple butcher block top bench provides quality that is functional and attractive. Solid grain hardwood is kiln dried, electronically cured and sealed with a mineral oil protectant to create a smooth, strong surface that can take continual pounding and use. It is 1-3/4" thick. Adjustable height legs feature removable duplex knockouts on front and rear for installation of either a hard wired electrical outlet or an optional plug-in outlet that easily screws into place with no wiring necessary. All steel parts are undercoated for rust resistance and finished with black powder coat. Bench height adjusts 29-5/8 to 37-1/4"H in 1-1/2" increments.

Engineering Desks

Your review: We purchased these workbenches to replace office furniture in our engineering office. They went together easily and were a snap to customize according to each engineer's requirements for power, height, vises, monitor stands, etc.

Pros: Solid construction; Flexibility; Ease of assembly

Cons: figuring out what to do with the old furniture

Bench as quilting table

Your review: I bought this sturdy work bench to use as a quilting table for my new semi-industrial sewing machine. The butcher block & leg design with bracing along the back made it perfect for the task. At, I should add, about 1/3 of the price of a table made for my machine. I haven't cut a hole in the butcher block to drop the machine in but may later. Right now, I'm thrilled that my beast of a machine can sew it's 1000-ish stitches per minute through denim with nary a shake in the table. The length is also perfect for a bed sized quilt. Called customer service-very helpful. Fast delivery too. Love the table, husband is jealous. What more could you want??

I am looking for a alternative solution for a computer desk. All i ask of the desk is to be sturdy, not wiggle, and provide a lot of room. However I'm curious how the top would feel on my arms. IE: is the finish smooth and completely even/level. thanks, Isaac
