These carts can transport numerous netbooks in schools or corporate environments while keeping them charged with one single plug. Ventilated steel sides help reduce the risk of overheating. Smooth 1-1/8" thick laminated top work surface offers a convenient cable management opening. Retractable translucent tambour front door allows for visual inventory and charging verification of stored netbooks. Door can accommodate a padlock (sold separately) to protect the contents. Three-point locking rear access panel limits access to electrical components and timer so IT configurations can remain secure. Power management dividers provide convenient cord management for netbook power cords, and the dividers are removable to allow the inside of the cart to be reconfigured to store and power projectors, printers, etc. Datum NetBook Carts are uniquely equipped with a UL-listed timer that automatically switches the AC power supply from one power strip to the other so not to overload a circuit. Carts also feature an external cord wrap for power supply cords. All units roll smoothly with 5” rubber swivel casters (2 swivel with brakes, 2 rigid), and include rubber corner bumpers to protect walls and doorways. Easy assembly.
Carts without Storage Shelf are recommended for most netbooks except the Intel Classmate PC. Model 985282 has 11-7/16"D x 8-1/16"H x 2-3/16"W compartments for netbooks with extended life batteries; Model 985283 has 11-7/16"D x 8-1/16"H x 2"W compartments.
