I wanted a commercial grade fan for an outdoor patio/kitchen. It is a bit noisy even on the low setting but not to the point where you are shouting to talk. I ordered 2 to make a cross wind under a 20x20 covered patio. One unit moves TONS of air - so much that I don't need the 2nd. Disappointed about ceiling mount - Was planning on mounting it to once of the roof's support rafters. However, you must have a flat roof/ceiling to mount or make necessary provisions. OK for us cause we have a wood support structure - not good if your mounting to a steel I-beam. Other wise its well made even for a China made product and instructions were good. Was going to return the 2nd fan but a family member liked it so much he's taking it. 5 stars if they can make this a bit quieter - otherwise perfect for a factory floor, gym, etc. where noise isn't on the top 5 list of concerns.
