The efficiency of bead homogenization relies on several factors, including the material and size of the beads. Benchmark offers a variety of bead options to meet a wide range of samples Silica (glass) homogenizer beads are ready to use – acid washed and heat treated to remove contaminants and render them nuclease and protease free. 0.1mm diameter beads are the best choice for homogenization of gram positive and negative bacteria. 0.5mm diameter beads are used to homogenize bacteria, fungi, spores, molds and small yeasts. 1.0mm diameter beads can be used to homogenize fungi, spores, algae ...
This starter kit contains 10 prefilled tubes each of 0.1mm, 0.5mm, 1.0mm, 1.5mm and 3.0mm diameter zirconium (ceramic) beads. Tubes are ready to use - beads are acid washed and heat treated and certified to be nuclease and protease free. Tubes are filled in a process tested by qPCR to be free of stray DNA. Suitable for use in most bead homogenizers including the BeadBug 3, BeadBug 6 and BeadBlaster 24.
It is for use in the BeadBlaster™ 96 and Requires use of the Microplate Adapter (IPD9600-96). Adapter can be placed in the freezer before use to keep samples cold during grinding.
The BenchMasher 400 Labaratory Paddle Blender comes with Incubation & UV Chamber Decon. The BenchMasher™ provides fast and effective mixing, ensuring consistent homogenization. It is ideal for preparation of samples were eliminating contamination is critical, such as pathogen and microbial detection in food and water filters. The BenchMasher also has applications anywhere larger solid samples need broken down or products such as powders and polymers need mixed. Samples up to 400ml are conveniently loaded in the sterile blender bags which are sealed upon closing the door. Mixing ...
