Lag Screws

Lag Screws are heavy duty fasteners used to connect heavy lumber or other materials that bear a strenuous load. They are manufactured from low carbon steel and can be used with lag shields in a variety of masonry applications, such as concrete, brick, and mortar. Lag Screws can also be used where standard wood screws are too short or small. In some applications, a pilot hole may be pre-drilled to prevent splitting or snapping. Hex Lag Screws feature a hex head, spaced threads, and a gimlet point, mostly for use in wood applications for long lasting reliability. Fasteners can affix items to concrete and masonry when combined with lag expansion shields for added durability. Hex head screws are designed to be driven by a wrench or pneumatic tools.

Sheet Metal Screws with combo drive i.e. Slotted & Phillips are a versatile fastener with specially hardened spaced threads and sharp points, and are capable of tapping their own internal threads. Typical applications for Sheet Metal Screws include fastening light metal sheets, wood, and plastic. They are manufactured with case hardened carbon steel and finished with a zinc plating.
