GN 738 magnetic plugs attract iron particles which might be suspended in the liquid. The magnetic pin is of a length which makes it impossible to demagnetize itself. To avoid breakage or de-magnetizing, round rod magnets are fitted with a plastic protection tube. This tube has to be removed prior to installing the plug. The seal is retained in a radial undercut in the mating face, which prevents it from dropping out and from extruding when the plug is tightened. For this reason the seal can be of a softer material which offers better sealing. NBR seal: maximum heat resistance: 120°C ...
DIN 906 threaded plugs are used to close bore holes with cylindrical tapered internal thread. The tightness depends on the medium, pressure, temperature and material pairing.
GN 742 fill/drain plugs are fitted with outside diameter d1 to fit screw holes with BSP threads included in DIN 3852. The seal is retained in a groove undercut in the mating face, which prevents it from dropping out and from extruding when the plug is tightened. For this reason the seal can be of a softer material which offers better sealing. Maximum heat resistance: 180°C (356°F). 2mm Vent Hole and M5 x .8 Dipstick Thread
Maximum heat resistance of nylon plastic: 194° F (90° C). Comes complete with unassembled oil-resistant synthetic rubber gaskets.
