Pipe Sealant Tape

A heavy duty industrial PTFE tape that should be used on the highest quality jobs. More PTFE per square inch than regular PTFE 3 tape. Thickness is .0035 ± .0005 and density of .7 g/cm. Provides a tight seal for any threaded joint and permits easy disassembly; withstands –450º F (-268°C) to +500º F (260°C). Comes in individual plastic dispenser. For use on oxygen systems. Non-toxic and non-flammable. Meets Federal Specification MIL-T-27730A.

Provides a clean, positive seal on threaded connections. A high density product that resists tearing and stretching for easy, efficient application. Available carded or packaged bulk on spools. Complies with Military Spec. No. A-A-58092 & UL 31 RO. 3 mils thick, 0.7 grams/cubic centimeter density.

Pipe Wrap Tape is a PVC plastic tape with a high tack adhesive that can be used on steel, galvanized, electrical conduit, cast iron pipe, and ductile iron pipe. Can be used above and below ground. Can be effective in all weather conditions. Provides corrosion protection, protects against fungus and bacteria, provides a dielectric barrier between the pipe and soil, and resists common chemicals and vapors. It is strongly recommended to use Black Swan Pipe Wrap Primer before applying tape. IAPMO approved.
