GN 1804.1 slotted spanner lock nuts are self-locking because of the polyamide insert. They can therefore also be used as a setting nut and may be used more than once. Slot is 3/16".

Nylon Lock Nuts contain a nylon collar insert to help prevent turning. The insert deforms elastically over screw threads. The nylon insert applies a compressive force against the screw to lock the nut.
