The closed back panel includes all the parts you need for stabilizing the back of an 8000 series industrial closed shelving unit. Our Closed Steel Shelving creates the perfect storage solution for packaged stock and other material. Use industrial closed shelving either against a wall or back-to-back for rows of shelving. Lyon's® 8000 series is ideal for use as either warehouse or commercial steel shelving. Because of our design, you can easily swap out damaged 8000 series Shelving Parts with ease. We offer our 8000 series closed back panel with a durable powder coat finish available in Dove Gray. The powder coat paint finish will help protect your steel shelving from everyday use.
Closed Shelving Back Panel
The 8000 series closed back panel includes two half panels. These 24-gauge steel panels help prevent lateral sway of the shelving unit. The two back panels overlap to cover the entire back of your Industrial Steel Shelving. The panels can overlap further to fit on shorter shelving units as well. The panels include three vertical rows of holes on 1-1/2-inch centers so they can easily bolt to a T-Post Upright.
Assembly and Installation
The 8000 series closed back panel ships unassembled and installs easily in the field. Easily attach the back panels to the back of your 8000 t-posts using the keyhole slots. This closed back panel includes the necessary nuts and bolts for attaching to your uprights. Be sure to also include Side Braces or Closed Upright Assemblies with your shelf installation for maximum stability. Even with the closed back panel, Lyon® strongly recommends that your 8000 series steel shelving be properly anchored. Make sure to install your uprights plumb and level before anchoring it to the floor and/or wall. Use the Upright-to-Floor Angle and a Concrete Wedge Anchor to anchor your uprights to the floor.
