Fittings have pressure ratings of 125 psi for steam and 200 for W.O.G. and meet ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15. They offer superior corrosion resistance and the material's relative softness allows for easy installation and a tight seal. Chrome plated brass fittings are often utilized because they are easy to clean, do not attract dirt and bacteria, and maintain a shiny finish. These fittings contain lead and are not allowed by federal law to be installed for potable water use in the U.S.A. and its territories.
