Commercial and industrial fans, blowers, pumps, and other machinery that have variable torque characteristics. Prolonged use at low speed can result in significant energy saving. Dripproof motors are intended for use in environments that are relatively clean and dry.

Marathon's Define Purpose Motors are available in both TEFC and ODP designs. Constant torque or variable torque motors having one winding or two winding. Applications for these motors include fans, blowers, pumps, machine tools, hoists and conveyors.

Marathon's Single Phase extensive line of General Purpose motors are available in ODP and TEFC construction, Foot Mounted and Footless. Horsepower sizes available from stock range from 1/12 HP through 15 HP.
