NACHI metric tapered roller bearings carry extra load capacities and are capable of taking combinations of heavy radial loads and axial loads in one direction only at low or intermediate speeds. They are usually mounted in pairs in a similar manner to single row angular contact ball bearings. Since these bearings are separable, cone assemblies and cups can be mounted independently.
