This formulation is made of FDA compliant materials for food, beverage and pharmaceutical applications. Silicone can withstand high temperatures and has excellent weathering properties. Also known as crushed-cell foam, semi-closed foam is highly conformable like an open-cell foam but forms a tight seal and prevents air, water, and fluids from passing through it like a closed-cell foam.

This formulation contains metal fillers which allow the silicone rubber to be picked up by metal detection systems should they tear or fall into the process stream.
