The Keyboard Compartment is a self-contained, sealed module that mounts to an accessory front opening. The lockable die-cast aluminum door is hinged along bottom edge and has pushbutton latches. PC keyboard rests on a ball-bearing glide shelf with a soft palm-rest. For PKBC6R, tray for mouse slides out from under the shelf. Seamless foam-in-place gasket on door assures a dust-tight seal.
