For rapid indexing in both vertical and horizontal positions using 5-C collets. 2-1/4" - 8 threaded spindle nose for use with lathe chucks. Instant opening and closing of collets is accomplished by a lever having a leverage ratio of 100 to 1. Rapid rotation of spindle nose is accomplished through a ratchet device on the front of the spindle. Supplied with a 24 hole index plate for 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12 and 24 divisions or 15 degree spacing. Index plate is supplied with screws for masking holes not in use.
