Female thread is always smaller than male thread which restricts some combinations from being made as bushings. Generally furnished tapered pipe thread (NPT) one end with hose thread on other end. King nipples are constructed of plated steel for rust resistance. Used for low pressure suction and discharge hoses with the handling of water and other various liquids. Male pipe threads are the same as the hose I.D. allowing it to grip the tube of the hose firmly to prevent any leaking. Required clamps to attach to hose.
