3M™ Double Coated Polyethylene Foam Tape 4492 Black is a closed-cell, polyethylene foam carrier. It is formulated for more demanding indoor and outdoor mounting and bonding applications. A noted feature of Foam Tape 4492 Black is its ability to conform and bond to irregular surfaces. It offers good temperature resistance and long term durability. 0.031 in. (0.8 mm) closed-cell polyethylene foam carrier. Conformable tape bonds to irregular surfaces. Flexible Foam Tape for Irregular Surfaces Speed up the mounting process and achieve a more aesthetically pleasing installation with 3M™ Double Coated Polyethylene Foam Tape 4492 Black. This 1/32 in. thick polyethylene foam tape is known for its high ultimate adhesion and reliable performance across many surfaces. One of its noted features is its ability to conform to irregular substrates. It provides high ultimate adhesion to many plastics and is formulated for demanding indoor and outdoor general purpose mounting and bonding applications. Common uses include automotive mirror bonding, decorative trim, nameplates and other general purpose mounting applications.
