Made from low carbon steel material. Zinc plated finish. Type 2 is used for gears, keyways, pulleys, and shafts. Precision Brand® Step Keystock is used in the transmission of power from a shaft to a gear, sprocket, sheave, pulley, coupling, etc. Often referred to as "Offset Keystock".

High quality steel material. Zinc plated finish. Size is clearly marked on each piece. Precision Brand® Keystock is used to provide driving torque between shafts and pulleys, gears, sprockets, etc. Used for new machinery, general maintenance, and shop repairs. It is a necessity in all applications where rotating power devices are used. Most tolerances on dimensions are oversized to assure tight fits in keyways for positive, zero backlash power transmission.

Pre-ground on all surfaces to close tolerances. An electric furnace melt tool steel. Fully spheroidized structure. An oil hardening tool steel that maintains high abrasion and wear resistance. It is ready for toolroom use and has excellent toughness and machinability characteristics.
