Due to its high holding force and watertight top plate, the MPI double ceramic round chuck is an indispensable tool during workpiece turning and circular grinding. The relatively small pole pitch and a low magnetic field make it suitable for thinner workpieces from 0.3" or from 0.5" depending on the chuck diameter or pole pitch. Instant opening and closing of collets is accomplished by a lever having a leverage ratio of 100 to 1. Rapid rotation of spindle nose is accomplished through a ratchet device on the front of the spindle. Supplied with a 24 hole index plate for 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12 and 24 divisions or 15 degree spacing.
