Due to its ability to resist breaking upon impact, ABS is a common choice for protective applications such as equipment housings.

The glass filling increases its strength and rigidity, making it better suited for high stress situations.

UHMW Polyethylene has outstanding abrasion, wear, and impact resistance. UHMW is commonly fabricated into conveyers, machine guards, and equipment housings. This grade of UHMW is anti-static, making it a good choice for applications where static discharge is a concern such as those involving sensitive equipment or moving parts.

Cast Acrylic is strong and moisture resistant. It is commonly machined into tanks and windows.

HDPE has good impact and moisture resistance. It is has good machinability and is often used to make plugs and seals. This marine grade has a coarse textured surface that enhances its resistance to abrasions.
