Key Stock

A stock of material that is one foot or greater in length, and from which shaft keys are made. Model is sold in Packs of 1, the minimum order is 8 packs, for a total of 8 pieces

Material is high quality, cold drawn steel. Precision Brand® Metric Keystock is used to accommodate metric keyways.

High quality steel material. Zinc plated finish. Size is clearly marked on each piece. Precision Brand® Keystock is used to provide driving torque between shafts and pulleys, gears, sprockets, etc. Used for new machinery, general maintenance, and shop repairs. It is a necessity in all applications where rotating power devices are used. Most tolerances on dimensions are oversized to assure tight fits in keyways for positive, zero backlash power transmission.

Made from low carbon steel material. Zinc plated finish. Type 1 is used for repair of damaged keys in shafts. Precision Brand® Step Keystock is used in the transmission of power from a shaft to a gear, sprocket, sheave, pulley, coupling, etc. Often referred to as "Offset Keystock".
